湖南大学教育学科历史悠久,早在1929年省立湖南大学期间就设立了教育系,出版了《教育丛刊》。新中国成立后,1949年湖南大学成立了教育学院。1953年院系调整时,教育学科调离湖南大学。直至1981建立高等教育研究室,恢复教育科學研究,1987年更名为高等教育研究所,2006年正式成立教育科學研究院。

  學院于1998年設立“高等教育學”碩士學位授予點,是湖南省最早設立的高等教育學碩士學位授權點之一。2003年設立“教育經濟與管理”碩士學位授權點,2005年設立“教育學”一級學科碩士學位授權點,2007年設立“教育碩士”專業學位授權點,是綜合性大學中第一批具備招收教育碩士專業學位資格的單位。2013年正式通過了“教育管理學”二級學科博士點授權資格。

  学院集人才培养、科學研究、咨询服务和教育理论刊物出版于一体。学院设有“湖南省教育评价研究中心”、“湖南省少年儿童组织与思想意识教育研究中心”等省级研究中心,是湖南省首批高等教育研究基地之一。“湖南省高等教育学会秘书处”挂靠我院,学会日常工作由本院负责。目前,设有教育学原理、课程与教学论、高等教育学、教育经济与管理等二级学科方向,在教育质量与评价、有效教学、教师教育、高等教育管理、大学分层与定位等方向形成了研究特色和优势。院资料室拥有人文、教育等领域中外藏书19657万册和中外文期刊99种。本院主编的教育类学术刊物《大學教育科學》属CSSCI来源期刊和《中文核心期刊》。

  學院自1999年開始招收碩士研究生,現有在讀碩士研究生204人,其中,“教育學”一級學科研究生39人;“教育經濟與管理”二級學科研究生45人;留學研究生5人;“教育碩士”(教育管理方向)專業學位研究生115人。現有教職員工21人,其中,專任教師14人,編輯等專業技術人員3人,行政管理及學生輔導員4人。專任教師中博士畢業比例達100%,海外經曆一年及以上教師近50%。另聘有校內外兼職教師20余人。

  目前,學院正依托湖南大學“千年學府,百年名校”深厚的文化底蘊和學科優勢,努力探索綜合性大學教育學科發展的新模式。今後一個時期,學院將以服務學校爲宗旨,以人才培養質量爲核心,以凝練隊伍、打造特色、提高水平爲關鍵,內強筋骨,外樹形象,全面提高人才培養質量、科研實力和咨詢服務能力,努力使本院成爲有特色、高水平、開放式的研究型學院。


Introduction of Research Institute of Education Science

Education subject in Hunan University has a long history, and as early as 1929 which is the Provincial Hunan University period, the education department was established and the Collection of Education was published. After the founding of the People’s Republic, in 1949 Hunan University set up the School of Education. When the schools and departments were regularized in 1953, the education subject was separated from Hunan University. Until 1981 the research of education science was reinstated when the Research Laboratory of Higher Education was established, which was renamed as Research Institute of Higher Education in 1987, and then became the Research Institute of Education Science in 2006.

The institute started the program for granting master degree of higher education in 1998, which is one of earliest institutes granting such a kind of degree in Hunan Province. In 2003 the program for granting master degree of educational economy and management was started and in 2005 the first level discipline—education was authorized to offer master degree. In 2007 the institute started the program for granting professional master degree of education, which belongs to the first batch of units authorized to offer professional master degree of education among all the comprehensive universities. In 2013, the institute was officially authorized to offer doctor degree of the second level discipline—educational management.

The institute is an integrity of personnel cultivation, scientific research, consultation service and the publication of educational theory journal. The institute has set up a series of provincial level research centers, such as the Hunan Research Center for Education Evaluation and Hunan Research Center for Children Organization and Ideology Education. It is also one of the first batch of higher educational research bases in Hunan Province. The Hunan Higher Education Learned Society Secretariat is attached to our institute which is responsible for the routine work of the learned society. Currently, the institute has several second level disciplines which are educational principles, courses and teaching theory, higher education, educational economy and management. Researching characteristics and advantages in our institute have formed in the fields of education quality and assessment, effective teaching, teachers’ education, higher education management, universities’ hierarchy and orientation. The reference room in our institute owns 19657Chinese and foreign books about the fields of humanity and education and also 99 kinds of Chinese and foreign journals. The University Education Science which is edited by our institute belongs to source journal of CSSCI and Chinese core journal.

The institute started to enroll master students in 1999 and now it has 204 master students. Among all these students, 39 students working on first level discipline—education, 45 students working on second level discipline—educational economy and management, and 115  professional master students working on education (education management). Now the institute has 14 full-time teachers, 3 editors and 4 administrative personnel and students’ counsellors. All the full-time teachers have doctor degrees and 50% of which have the experience of studying abroad for at least one year. Besides, the institute also has more than 20 part-time teachers in and outside the university.

Currently, the institute makes endeavors to explore the new model for the development of education subject in comprehensive universities depending on the profound cultural deposits and subject advantages of Hunan University which enjoys a prestigious reputation as a millenary school and a university with a hundred years. In the later period, the institute will regard “services for universities” as an objective, “personnel cultivation quality” as a core task and “unity of teams, features establishment, capability elevation” as key elements. The institute will strengthen the inside capability and set up good images outside; improve the personnel cultivation quality, research capability and consultation service ability comprehensively. Finally, we are trying to make our institute become a characteristic, high level and open-ended research institute.
